Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with BlaBlaNote in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through creating your account, making your first recording, and exploring key features.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to blablanote.app
  2. Click Sign Up
  3. Choose your sign-up method:
    • Email and password - Enter your email and create a password
    • Google - Sign in with your Google account
    • LinkedIn - Sign in with your LinkedIn account
  4. Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox
  5. Start your 30-day free trial automatically

Step 2: Complete Onboarding

After signing up, you'll be guided through a brief onboarding process:

  1. Set your preferences - Choose your default language and timezone
  2. Configure transcription - Select your preferred transcription languages
  3. Connect integrations - Link Google Calendar, Telegram, or WhatsApp (optional)
  4. Set up your profile - Add your name and profile photo

You can skip onboarding and complete these steps later in Settings.

Step 3: Create Your First Interaction

An "Interaction" is the core unit in BlaBlaNote - it represents a conversation or note that you want to capture.

Option A: Record Audio

  1. Click the + New button in the top navigation
  2. Select Record Audio
  3. Click the microphone button to start recording
  4. Speak naturally - BlaBlaNote will capture everything
  5. Click Stop when finished
  6. Add a title and any notes
  7. Click Save

Your audio will be automatically transcribed within minutes.

Option B: Upload Audio

  1. Click the + New button
  2. Select Upload Audio
  3. Choose an audio file from your device (MP3, WAV, M4A supported)
  4. Add a title and any notes
  5. Click Save

Option C: Text Note

  1. Click the + New button
  2. Select New Note
  3. Enter your text using the rich text editor
  4. Add a title
  5. Click Save

After creating an interaction, you can link it to a contact:

  1. Open your interaction
  2. Click Link Contact in the sidebar
  3. Search for an existing contact or create a new one
  4. Select the contact to link

This helps you track all interactions with specific people.

Step 5: Create a Task

Turn action items from your conversation into tasks:

  1. From an interaction, click Create Task
  2. Enter the task title
  3. Set a priority level (Low, Medium, High)
  4. Add a deadline if needed
  5. Click Save

The task will be linked to the original interaction for context.

Step 6: Explore Your Dashboard

Your dashboard provides an overview of:

  • Recent interactions - Your latest recordings and notes
  • Upcoming tasks - Tasks due soon
  • Activity feed - Recent activity in your account
  • Calendar events - Upcoming meetings (if calendar is connected)
