Profile Settings
Manage your personal information, preferences, and account details. Your profile settings control how BlaBlaNote displays your information and how the app behaves for you.
Accessing Profile Settings
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner
- Select Settings
- Navigate to Profile
Or go directly to Settings > Profile from the main navigation.
Personal Information
Name
Your display name appears:
- In the app header
- On your visiting card
- In team features (if enabled)
- In shared content
To update your name:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Edit the First Name and Last Name fields
- Click Save
Profile Photo
Your photo appears throughout the app and on your visiting card.
To update your photo:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Click on your current photo or the placeholder
- Select Upload Photo
- Choose an image file (JPG, PNG)
- Crop and adjust if needed
- Click Save
Photo Recommendations
- Use a professional headshot
- Square format works best
- Minimum 200x200 pixels
- Maximum file size: 5MB
Bio
Add a short description about yourself, primarily displayed on your visiting card.
To add/edit your bio:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Find the Bio field
- Enter your text (max 500 characters)
- Click Save
Account Settings
Email Address
Your email is used for:
- Account login
- Notifications
- Password recovery
- Important account alerts
To change your email:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Click Change Email
- Enter your new email address
- Verify the new email via the confirmation link
- Email updated once verified
WARNING
You'll need to verify the new email address before the change takes effect. You'll continue receiving emails at your old address until verification is complete.
Password
If you signed up with email and password:
To change your password:
- Go to Settings > Security
- Click Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password
- Confirm the new password
- Click Update Password
Password Requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Mix of letters and numbers recommended
- Avoid common passwords
Preferences
Timezone
Your timezone affects:
- Timestamps on interactions
- Task deadlines and reminders
- Calendar event display
- Notification timing
To set your timezone:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Find the Timezone dropdown
- Select your timezone
- Click Save
TIP
BlaBlaNote tries to detect your timezone automatically. If times appear incorrect, verify this setting.
App Language
Change the language of the BlaBlaNote interface.
Supported languages include:
- English
- Spanish (Español)
- French (Français)
- German (Deutsch)
- Italian (Italiano)
- Portuguese (Português)
- Dutch (Nederlands)
- Polish (Polski)
- Catalan (Català)
- And 30+ more
To change app language:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Find Language dropdown
- Select your preferred language
- Interface updates immediately
This changes the app interface only, not transcription language.
Date Format
Choose how dates are displayed:
- MM/DD/YYYY (US format)
- DD/MM/YYYY (European format)
- YYYY-MM-DD (ISO format)
To change date format:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Find Date Format
- Select your preference
- Click Save
Connected Accounts
Viewing Connected Accounts
See which services are linked to your BlaBlaNote account:
- Go to Settings > Profile or Settings > Security
- Find Connected Accounts section
- View linked services
Linking Social Accounts
Connect accounts for easier login:
Google:
- Click Connect Google
- Sign in with Google
- Grant permissions
- Account linked
LinkedIn:
- Click Connect LinkedIn
- Sign in with LinkedIn
- Authorize access
- Account linked
Benefits of Connected Accounts
- One-click login - Sign in without password
- Profile info - Auto-fill name and photo
- Integrations - Enable calendar and contact sync
- Security - Leverage provider's security
Unlinking Accounts
To disconnect a social account:
- Go to Settings > Security
- Find the connected account
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm removal
WARNING
If you only have a social login (no password), set a password before disconnecting to avoid being locked out.
Profile Visibility
Public Information
Some profile information can be made public via your visiting card:
- Name
- Photo
- Bio
- Email (optional)
- Phone (optional)
- Company (optional)
Private Information
Always kept private:
- Account email (unless shared on visiting card)
- Password
- Billing information
- Interaction content
- Contact details
Managing Visibility
Control what's public:
- Go to Settings > Visiting Card
- Enable/disable specific fields
- Review your public card

Account Actions
Download Your Data
Request a copy of your data:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Click Export Data
- Select data types to include
- Request export
- Download link sent via email
Delete Account
Permanently delete your account and all data:
- Go to Settings > Profile
- Scroll to Danger Zone
- Click Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
- Click Permanently Delete
DANGER
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your interactions, contacts, tasks, and data will be permanently removed.
Before deleting:
- Export any data you want to keep
- Cancel your subscription first
- Consider if deactivation is sufficient
Best Practices
Keep Information Current
- Update your photo annually
- Review timezone if you travel frequently
- Keep email address current for notifications
Security
- Use a strong, unique password
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Connect social accounts for backup login methods
- Review connected accounts periodically
Professional Presence
- Use a professional photo
- Write a clear, concise bio
- Keep company information accurate
