Telegram Integration

Connect BlaBlaNote with Telegram to capture voice messages, import contacts, and receive notifications directly in your favorite messaging app.

Overview

Telegram integration enables:

• Voice Message Capture - Send audio to BlaBlaNote via Telegram
• Contact Import - Import contacts from Telegram
• Notifications - Receive BlaBlaNote alerts in Telegram
• Quick Capture - Record and transcribe on the go

Connecting Telegram

Initial Setup

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Find Telegram in the list
3. Click Connect
4. You'll see a connection code or link
5. Open Telegram and search for @BlaBlaNote_bot
6. Start a conversation with the bot
7. Send the connection code
8. Integration is now active

Finding the Bot

In Telegram:

1. Tap the search icon
2. Search for @BlaBlaNote_bot
3. Tap to open the conversation
4. Click Start to begin

Verifying Connection

After connecting:

1. The bot will confirm connection
2. BlaBlaNote shows "Connected" status
3. You're ready to use Telegram features

Sending Voice Messages

How It Works

1. Open your chat with @BlaBlaNote_bot
2. Record a voice message (hold mic icon)
3. Send the voice message
4. BlaBlaNote receives and transcribes it
5. A new interaction is created automatically

Voice Message Tips

Recording Quality

Record in a quiet environment for best transcription accuracy. Speak clearly and at a normal pace.

• Hold phone close to your mouth
• Avoid background noise
• Speak at normal speed
• Keep messages under 10 minutes for faster processing

After Sending

Once you send a voice message:

1. Bot confirms receipt
2. Audio is uploaded to BlaBlaNote
3. Transcription begins automatically
4. Bot notifies when complete
5. View in BlaBlaNote app

Viewing in BlaBlaNote

1. Go to Interactions
2. Find the new interaction (marked as from Telegram)
3. View transcription and add details
4. Link to contacts, add tags, etc.

Importing Contacts

Starting the Import

1. Go to Contacts in BlaBlaNote
2. Click Import
3. Select Telegram
4. Bot will guide you through the process

How Import Works

The bot will:

1. Request access to your Telegram contacts
2. Show contacts available for import
3. Let you select which to import
4. Transfer selected contacts to BlaBlaNote

What's Imported

From Telegram contacts:

• Display name
• Phone number
• Username (if available)
• Profile photo (if available)

Privacy Note

Contact import:

• Requires your explicit permission
• Only imports contacts you select
• Doesn't share your contacts externally
• Can be done multiple times

Receiving Notifications

Enabling Notifications

1. Go to Settings > Notifications
2. Find Telegram delivery option
3. Enable notifications you want via Telegram
4. Save settings

Available Notifications

Receive alerts for:

• Transcription completed
• Task reminders
• Follow-up cadence alerts
• Calendar event reminders
• Important date reminders

Notification Format

Telegram notifications include:

• Brief description of the alert
• Link to open in BlaBlaNote
• Quick action options (when available)

Managing Notification Volume

To avoid notification overload:

• Select only essential notifications
• Use email for less urgent items
• Mute bot during focus time

Managing the Connection

Checking Status

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Find Telegram
3. View connection status
4. See connected Telegram account

Disconnecting

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Click Disconnect on Telegram
3. Confirm disconnection

After disconnecting:

• Bot stops receiving messages
• Existing interactions preserved
• Notifications stop
• Can reconnect anytime

Reconnecting

If you need to reconnect:

1. Click Connect on Telegram integration
2. Follow setup steps again
3. May need to restart bot in Telegram

Troubleshooting

Bot Not Responding

Issue: Messages not being received

Solutions:

• Check internet connection
• Verify bot is @BlaBlaNote_bot
• Restart the conversation with /start
• Reconnect integration in settings

Voice Messages Not Transcribing

Issue: Sent voice but no interaction created

Solutions:

• Check BlaBlaNote connection status
• Verify account is active (subscribed)
• Look in Interactions for processing items
• Wait a few minutes for processing

Connection Lost

Issue: Integration shows disconnected

Solutions:

• Send /start to bot in Telegram
• Reconnect in BlaBlaNote settings
• Check if Telegram account changed

Wrong Language Transcription

Issue: Transcription in wrong language

Solutions:

• Check default transcription language in settings
• BlaBlaNote uses your language preferences
• Update transcription settings if needed

Notifications Not Arriving

Issue: Not receiving Telegram notifications

Solutions:

• Check Telegram notification settings
• Verify notifications enabled in BlaBlaNote
• Ensure Telegram app notifications on
• Check if bot is muted

What We Access

BlaBlaNote only accesses:

• Messages sent directly to our bot
• Contact info you explicitly share
• Nothing else in your Telegram

The bot cannot:

• Read your other Telegram messages
• Access your groups or channels
• See your Telegram activity
• Access your Telegram profile without permission
