Call BlaBlaNote's dedicated phone number to leave voice messages that are automatically transcribed and saved to your account. Perfect for capturing thoughts and notes when you can't use the app.

Overview

The Phone Call integration allows you to:

• Call to record - Dial BlaBlaNote's number and leave a voice message
• Automatic transcription - Your message is transcribed automatically
• Hands-free capture - Record while driving, walking, or on the go
• No app needed - Works with any phone, anywhere

How It Works

1. Add your phone number in BlaBlaNote settings
2. Call BlaBlaNote's dedicated phone number
3. Leave a voice message after the prompt
4. Hang up when finished
5. Message transcribed and saved as a new interaction

BlaBlaNote identifies you by your caller ID, so your voice message is automatically linked to your account. No SMS, no verification code — just make sure the number saved in your profile is the one you call from.

Setting Up Phone Calls

Step 1: Add Your Phone Number

Before using this feature, you must save your phone number in your profile:

1. Go to Settings > Profile
2. Find Phone Number
3. Enter your phone number (with country code)
4. Save your profile

Important

You must call from the same phone number that is saved in your profile. Your caller ID is how we link the call to your account, so calls from any other number won't be processed.

Step 2: Get the BlaBlaNote Phone Number

Once your number is saved, you'll see the BlaBlaNote phone number to call:

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Find Phone Calls
3. Note the phone number displayed
4. Save it to your contacts for easy access

Step 3: Make Your First Call

1. Call the BlaBlaNote number from the phone saved in your profile
2. Wait for the greeting/prompt
3. Speak your message clearly
4. Hang up when finished
5. Check your Interactions - your message will appear shortly

Using Phone Calls

When to Use This Feature

Phone calls are ideal when you:

• Can't use the app - Driving, exercising, hands full
• Need quick capture - Spontaneous ideas or reminders
• Prefer voice - Easier than typing on mobile
• Have no data connection - Works with regular phone signal

Recording Tips

For best transcription quality:

• Speak clearly - Normal pace, clear pronunciation
• Minimize background noise - Find a quieter spot if possible
• State context - Mention names, topics, or projects
• Keep it focused - One topic per message works best

Message Length

• Minimum: A few seconds
• Recommended: 30 seconds to 5 minutes
• Maximum: 15 minutes per call

Longer messages take more time to process.

After Your Call

Processing Time

After you hang up:

1. Audio is received by BlaBlaNote
2. Your account is identified by phone number
3. Transcription begins automatically
4. AI analyzes the content
5. Interaction appears in your account

Typical processing time: 1-5 minutes depending on message length.

Finding Your Message

1. Go to Interactions
2. Look for the newest interaction
3. It will be marked as "Phone Call" or show the source
4. Click to view transcription and details

Enhancing Your Interaction

After the message is transcribed:

• Edit the title - Give it a descriptive name
• Link contacts - Connect to relevant people
• Add tags - Organize with your tagging system
• Create tasks - Turn action items into tasks
• Add notes - Include additional context

Troubleshooting

Call Not Being Processed

Issue: Made a call but no interaction appeared

Solutions:

• Confirm you called from the number saved in your profile
• Check that your phone number is saved in settings (with country code)
• Wait a few minutes for processing
• Check your account is active (subscribed)

Wrong Account or Not Recognized

Issue: System doesn't recognize your number

Solutions:

• Confirm you're calling from the number saved in your profile
• Check phone number format in settings (include country code)
• Make sure your caller ID is not hidden
• Contact support if issues persist

Poor Transcription Quality

Issue: Transcription has errors

Solutions:

• Speak more clearly on next call
• Reduce background noise
• Check your transcription language settings
• Add frequently used names to custom vocabulary

Call Goes to Generic Voicemail

Issue: Doesn't reach BlaBlaNote system

Solutions:

• Verify you have the correct phone number
• Check you're not blocking your caller ID

Add BlaBlaNote's phone number to your contacts:
