Activities

The Activities feed is your home screen in BlaBlaNote. It's an AI-curated, one-screen view of what you should do next across your whole network — instead of forcing you to dig through contacts, calendar, and tasks one by one.

Each item on the feed is a single, actionable suggestion with a clear next step.

The two lanes

The feed is split in two, and the split is the point: To-do is what needs you, Updates is what happened. Each tab carries its own unread count, and the two are independent — clearing one never changes the other.

TabWhat lands there
To-doTime to reconnect, Important date, Task deadline, Upcoming event
UpdatesStay updated, Networking insight, You can't miss it, By BlaBlaNote

A third control, next to the tabs, switches between Unread and Read, so an item you have cleared is still there when you want it back.

The tab labels are in English everywhere

To-do and Updates have no translation in any language, so they read the same whichever language your account is in. Everything else on the screen is translated.

Crossing the two lanes, and clearing one item from To-do.

Activity types

Each item on your feed is one of these types:

Time to reconnect

You haven't touched base with this contact in a while and they matter to you (based on relationship strength and follow-up cadence). BlaBlaNote suggests a reach-out.

Important date

A date you saved on a contact is coming up. The feed reminds you a few days ahead so you have time to send something.

The date types are Anniversary, Saint's day and Other — the last one takes a label of your own ("Race week", "Audit close"). There is no birthday type: a birthday goes in as an Anniversary or as an Other with the label you want.

Stay updated (follow-up)

There's an open thread with this contact — a question you didn't answer, a document you promised to send, or an action item from a meeting that's still outstanding.

Task deadline

A task with a due date is approaching or overdue.

Networking insight

BlaBlaNote noticed something useful from one of your interactions — a pattern, a missed opportunity, or a connection you might want to make.

Upcoming event

Something is happening on your calendar that needs your attention (upcoming meeting, attendee just confirmed, schedule change).

You can't miss it (notification)

How activities are generated

The feed is generated automatically based on:

  • Your contact relationships and how recently you've interacted
  • Your calendar (upcoming meetings, recent meetings, no-shows)
  • Tasks and their deadlines
  • Important dates you've set
  • Open follow-ups from your interactions
  • Patterns BlaBlaNote sees across your network

There's nothing to set up — it runs in the background and updates throughout the day.

Acting on an activity

Every card carries a menu on the right, with the same three options:

  • Quick ping — Log that you touched base, without leaving the feed. The five-second version of acting on the card
  • Postpone — Tomorrow, next week, next month, or a date you pick. The card comes back then
  • Mark as read — The row leaves the list and the tab's unread count drops by one

Above the list, Mark all as read clears the whole tab at once.

The names on the card are links rather than actions: the contact opens their profile, and the conversation under it opens that interaction. Nothing on this screen writes an email or books a meeting.

Notifications

Account-wide messages from BlaBlaNote — security alerts, product updates, billing reminders, important changes. Each notification has a read/unread state so you know what's new.

Tuning your feed

The feed is personalised, but you can influence it:

  • Postpone activities you don't want to act on right now
  • Mark contacts as important — they appear in Reconnect and Important date more aggressively
  • Set follow-up cadence on a contact — controls how often Reconnect fires
  • Add important dates — fuels the Important date type
  • Mark as read the ones you have handled — keeps the count honest

Best practices

  • Check the feed once a day — it's designed to be cleared, not scrolled forever
  • If something on the feed is wrong (suggested reconnect with someone you don't want to talk to), postpone it or mark the contact as low-priority
  • Treat Important dates as a chance to send something small — a quick message, not a full meeting
  • The feed is a recommendation, not a command. It's fine to ignore most of it and focus on the few items that matter
